Client: Congregation Ohev Shalom
After re-branding Congregation Ohev Shalom of Wallingford, PA with a new logo and tagline (below), we undertook a total makeover of the synagogue’s web site. Over the years, the site had become cluttered and difficult to navigate, styles were inconsistent and content was mushrooming. It was key that the new brand identity be incorporated into the web site and new functionalities added. Furthermore, the site needed to be easily updated.
Accordingly, content was overhauled and edited and the new site is organized and easier to follow. The personality of the community is expressed through photographs in the header on the home page and throughout the site. Visitors can easily access key information right from the home page using quick links to upcoming events (including event registration) and contact information; donations can be made, scrip can be purchased, two blogs and the newsletter can be accessed and directions can be procured. Potential new members will find a large “Join Now” button which takes them to a form that they can easily fill out requesting more information about membership; or they can read the FAQs about membership and download a membership application. Additionally, visitors can connect with Ohev Shalom via Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. Within the site, there are password protected areas for use by members only.
There are already plans for at least 8 additional pages to the site as well as additional enhancements with sound, video and photos.
