Hannah Shaffer

Hannah Shaffer graduated from Hampshire College in 2009 with a double concentration in Video and Women’s Studies. While at Hampshire, she explored the pathways of communication created by blogging and digital media, which have enabled people across the globe to share stories and ideas never heard before.

Hannah is fluent in Final Cut Pro and Adobe Flash. She also works in After Effects (motion graphics/visual effects), Dreamweaver (web design), and Fireworks (web graphics).  She learned XHTML and CSS through a top-down approach, by deconstructing existing websites and templates.  She has since become well-versed in these languages, and enjoys the challenge of creating a website from scratch.

Hannah believes in a “can do” approach to technology.  She knows how intimidating computers and computer lingo can be.  This understanding has inspired her to combine her passion for technology with her interest in youth empowerment and education.  She is currently working to start an after school program focused around collective strategy and game theory.

Hannah’s free time is devoted to designing (and playing) independent, experimental video games.
